Wayfinding in high-rise residential buildings
For relevant high-rise residential buildings, floor identification and flat identification signs are part of the wayfinding information intended to help fire and rescue services. The prescribed position, visibility and wording need specific attention.
Do not generalise the duty
A normal fire-exit sign range is not automatically a compliant wayfinding package. Building layout, floor numbering, sign position, contrast and the applicable duty should be reviewed as a coordinated scheme.
